FOIA Site Lead Specialist – Administration Support

About the role

The FOIA Site Lead Specialist (FSLS) will provide Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) administration support for the U.S. Department of the Army’s Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Joint Task Force‑Guantanamo Bay. The position is full‑time, on‑site in the Caribbean region and reports directly to the Contracting Officer Representative.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all FOIA‑related contract activities, including developing plans, procedures and monitoring compliance within 90 days of award.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government personnel, record meeting minutes, and submit weekly attendance reports.
• Oversee document searches, review responsive materials, apply redactions using Redact Express, and ensure proper classification markings per DoD policy.
• Provide FOIA‑specific training and technical support to action officers, and track responses from multiple offices.

Required profile

• Experience in DOD/Military sector with functional or technical expertise in FOIA processes.
• Ability to supervise ProSidian staff and contractors, and to act with full authority on contract matters.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate meetings, produce accurate minutes and maintain attendance records.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Redact Express or similar redaction tools.
• Knowledge of FOIA statutes, exemptions and DoD classification requirements.
