FOIA Records Management & Declassification Lead

About the role

ProSidian is seeking a FOIA Records Management & Declassification Lead to provide FOIA administration support for the Joint Task Force – Guantanamo Bay. The role is based onsite at the Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay and serves DOD/Military clients, primarily the U.S. Department of the Army.

Key responsibilities

• Manage classified and unclassified records, track FOIA/MDR cases, and conduct declassification reviews in compliance with DoD, NARA and security classification policies.
• Perform document searches, apply redactions using Redact Express or similar tools, and ensure quality control of FOIA responses.
• Maintain accurate case tracking using spreadsheets, databases and FOIA management systems, updating statuses daily.
• Provide FOIA-specific training to action officers and technical support for FOIA request processing.

Required profile

• Prior experience with FOIA processing and DOD/Military sector regulations.
• Knowledge of FOIA statutes, NARA standards and relevant executive orders (EO 13392, EO 13526).
• Ability to coordinate with multiple directorates and external organizations on FOIA matters.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Redact Express or comparable redaction software.
• Experience using FOIA request management tracking systems.
