FOIA Information Disclosure & Security Compliance Manager

About the role

The FOIA Information Disclosure & Security Compliance Manager provides FOIA administration support for the Joint Task Force – Guantanamo Bay. The role ensures compliance with FOIA statutes, safeguards sensitive information, and supports the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee FOIA program operations, including document declassification and redaction.
• Develop action plans, policy implementation strategies, and compliance training programs.
• Process FOIA requests using the department’s tracking system, apply exemptions, and prepare responses for approval.
• Coordinate with JTF‑GTMO directorates, track case status, and maintain accurate records in accordance with EO 13392 and 13526.

Required profile

• Experience with DOD/Military sector FOIA or declassification processes.
• Knowledge of federal information governance and security standards.
• Ability to conduct quality‑assurance reviews of redacted materials.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Redact Express or similar redaction tools.
• Experience using FOIA request management and tracking systems.
• Document search, review, and classification skills.
