Programme Analyst – Gender (UNFPA) – Havana, Cuba

About the role

The Programme Analyst, Gender supports the UNFPA Cuba Country Office in delivering the project "Supporting the National Response to Gender‑Based Violence in Cuba". Working closely with the Federation of Cuban Women and key sectors, the analyst leads capacity‑building and ensures a survivor‑centered response across pilot municipalities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and technically monitor project activities in 40 pilot municipalities across 15 provinces.
• Provide high‑level technical assistance to ensure alignment with UNFPA standards and donor requirements.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives for health, legal, law‑enforcement and community partners.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and results‑based reporting for the project.
• Facilitate partnership building, external relations and resource mobilisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender‑based violence programmes or related fields.
• Strong understanding of UNFPA policies, gender equality frameworks and donor reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, NGOs and community groups.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
