Logistics Manager – In-Country Logistics

About the role

The Logistics Manager – In-Country Logistics will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of humanitarian goods for a multi‑sector emergency response in Cuba. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and program leads, you will ensure that essential assistance reaches vulnerable households efficiently and transparently.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with direct reports and programming leads to run pipeline analyses, synchronize supply of goods with program needs, and ensure compliance with CRS, donor, and local inventory standards.
• Determine logistics service requirements, specifications, and delivery schedules, coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers.
• Anticipate and resolve supply‑chain challenges that could affect short‑term or long‑term availability of goods.
• Supervise and develop the logistics team, providing coaching, performance management, and well‑being support.
• Identify transportation resources, storage facilities, and leasing options; maintain relationships with port operations and key suppliers.
• Participate in coordination meetings and manage the end‑to‑end supply chain from customs clearance through receipt, transport, storage, and dispatch.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or supply‑chain management, preferably in humanitarian or emergency‑response settings.
• Strong analytical skills to forecast needs and mitigate risks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, ensuring accountability and transparency.
• Commitment to stewardship, integrity, and ethical standards.
